Welcome to Ceres Calisthenics Club

cal·is·then·ics
From Greek kalos beautiful + sthenos strength

Calisthenics is a team sport in which pupils learn routines choreographed to music and present them on stage at competitions and concerts. Some pupils also choose to participate in solo and duo completitions.

Ceres is a championship-level calisthenics club based in Ashwood, Victoria.

Calisthenics can be categorised as both a sport and an art. As a sport it encourages physical development, coordination, self-discipline and team spirit. As an art it develops an appreciation of music and rhythm, the beauty of correct technique and the excitement of performing.

Established in 1987 as a married ladies team, Ceres has grown to have 170 girls and women in 2012. We have competitive teams in every age group, competing at championship level.
